Pontoons/Fish Chambers

Our pontoon fish chambers

The fish chamber comprises a solid aluminium structure enclosed by netting made from Dyneema, which is an incredibly strong microfibre material. The aluminium structure is mounted on inflatable pontoons that can lift the fish chamber above the surface of the water, making the catch easily accessible. The pontoons are made from an extremely durable polyurethane material. The system uses ropes, threads and hoses of the highest quality that can withstand exposure to UV light and harsh marine conditions.

Salmon and whitefish chamber

Has a diameter of 2900 mm and is surrounded by a double layer of Dyneemagarn. The double net prevents seals and other predators from accessing the caught fish. The mesh size in the standard version is 35 mm in the inner grenade and 80 mm in the outer. The water house (the four loose rings) consists of a simple Dyneemagarn in 50 mm mesh size.

At the bottom of the fish chamber there is a plastic box that collects the caught fish when the fish house is lifted to the surface. The fish is emptied in the boat by opening a hatch.

Herring and vendace chamber

Has a diameter of 2900 mm and is surrounded by a simple Dyneemagarn. The mesh size in the standard version is 12 mm. At the bottom of the fish house is a collection bag (white bag) where all caught fish is collected when the fish chamber is lifted.

The white bag can then be emptied in portions by manual lifting or with a crane.

Perch, pike-perch chamber

Has a diameter of 1500 mm and is surrounded by a simple Dyneemagarn. The mesh size in the standard version is 20 mm. In the same way as in the Strömmings vendace fish chamber, there is a collection bag (white bag) at the bottom where all the caught fish is collected when the fish chamber is lifted to the surface.

The white bag is emptied in portions by manual lifting or with a crane.
